“BREAKING VOL.IV” EXHIBITION AT MERKUR
MERKUR is opening the fourth of the NEFES exhibition series, where it makes new artists visible after a long break, with 13 artists.
Nefes Vol.IV in the exhibition Güneş Acur, Hüseyin Aksoy, Aslıhan Kaplan Bayrak, Rabia Çelik, Uğur Güler, Taha İsmail Elgün, Mustafa Mutlu, Talha Okan, Can Özsobay, Burak Satar, Aslı Vural, Sevtap Yılmaz and Gamze Zorlu will take place with their works.
The exhibition highlighting the important role played by the younger generation in today's art; It takes us to the search for color, composition and rhythm of artists who revive “official” as the oldest communication language with canvas and paint as the most classical expression material.
Artist Information:
Güneş Acur: Graduated from Hacettepe University Fine Arts Ceramics Department in 1999. Lecturer at Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Science and Letters, Archeology Department between 2003-2018. See. as a lecturer.
Hüseyin Aksoy: Marmara University Fine Arts Painting Business in 2019. Inst. Graduated from the Department. In his works, he touches on problems from history and the present, and sometimes with irony and satire, he questions the realm of reality through imagery.
Aslıhan Kaplan Bayrak: Graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts Museum Painting Department in 2007 with the first place. He has been carrying out the Garden Art Initiative Coordinator since 2014.
Rabia Çelik: She graduated from Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty Painting Department in 2017. 2017 Base participant.
Uğur Güler: Graduated from Eskişehir Anadolu University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2014.
Taha İsmail Elgün: In 2016, he transferred from Hacettepe University Fine Arts Faculty Painting Department to Konya Selçuk University Fine Arts Faculty Painting Department.
Mustafa Mutlu: He graduated from Necmettin Erbakan University Painting Department in 2015. Mustafa Mutlu, who is a 2019 Base participant, has 18 domestic and international awards.
Talha Okan: Graduated from Eskişehir Anadolu University Painting Education Department in 2019.
Can Özsubay: Graduated from Marmara Fine Arts Graphics and Traditional Turkish Arts in 1986. He worked as a cartoonist for Gırgır and Fırt magazines in the 90s.
Burak Satar: He entered Yeditepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Plastic Arts in 1999. Since 2003, she has been working as an Academician at Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Art and Design, Composite Arts Department.
Aslı Vural: She studied at Bilkent University, Faculty of Design and Architecture, Department of Interior Architecture in 1996 and continued painting workshops in the fine arts department of the same university. In his works, he deals with cities, change and transformation and the slaughter of nature, the position of individuals in this situation.
Sevtap Yılmaz: She graduated from Trakya University Fine Arts Faculty Painting Teaching in 2005.
Gamze Zorlu: She entered Mimar Sinan Fine Arts Faculty in 2007 and completed her undergraduate education in Painting Department. He studied at the Universidad de Sevilla in Spain, where he went with Erasmus LLP in 2009-2010.
